Europaplatz is geographically located in Bümpliz-Bern, Switzerland, in the heart of Europe. The district is a melting pot of cultures, which is reflected in Europaplatz.
Unique in the world is also the House of Religions, which forms an intercultural center where most religions are united under one roof. It is also an interface for traffic.

The series documents the people and life on Europaplatz and was created from the fall of 2021 to the summer of 2022.
My photographic work is a mixture of street photography, reportage, mood and portrait.

Sometimes the square is empty and nothing happens. The next moment everything happens at once: Ethiopian church service, music concert, food festival, roller skating disco, dance video,
Tamil wedding, African food festival, cleaning teams, skaters, passers-by, streetcar and train riders, employees, meeting friends and musicians enliven the place. Europaplatz has its own rhythm.


Der Europaplatz liegt geografisch in Bümpliz-Bern, Schweiz, im Herzen von Europa. Der Stadtteil ist ein Schmelzziegel der Kulturen, was sich auf dem Europaplatz widerspiegelt. Weltweit einmalig ist auch das Haus der Religionen, das ein interkulturelles Zentrum bildet wo die meisten Religionen unter einem Dach vereint sind. Er ist auch eine Schnittstelle für den Verkehr.

Die Serie dokumentiert die Menschen und das Leben auf dem Europaplatz und ist vom Herbst 2021 bis zum Sommer 2022 entstanden.
Meine fotografische Arbeit ist eine Mischung aus Street Photography, Reportage, Mood und Portrait.

Manchmal ist der Platz leer und es geschieht nichts. Im nächsten Moment passiert alles gleich auf einmal: Äthiopischer Gottesdienst, Musikkonzert, Foodfestival, Rollschuhdisco, Tanzvideo,
Tamilische Hochzeit, Afrikanisches Food Festival, Reinigungsteams, Skater, Passanten, Tram und Zugfahrer, Angestellte, sich treffende Freunde und Musiker beleben den Ort.
Der Europaplatz hat seinen eigenen Rhythmus.
