This series is about consumption. The topics consumption / plastic waste and environment have long been shaping the content of daily conversation. With the name Konsumogramm I connect the
old technique of the photogram with our plastic consumption. Different typical consumer objects are shown. They are transparent and much in use in our everyday take-away life. I have used the photogramm as a medium to show the subject in an unusual and interesting way. Special about this technique is the clarity with which it depicts objects in a reduced form. The strong light-dark contrast is captivating and aesthetic. PET as a transparent material can be staged subtly and dramatically with this method. Different levels can be represented. Similar to a garbage dump,
I have superimposed the objects. All prints are made by hand in the darkroom. Each one is unique. During my research I discovered the prints of my grandfather, Walter Studer, photographer.
50 years ago, he took pictures of the garbage in a garbage dump. One of his photographs I included in the 7th photogram. With it the old and the new times of our consumer society are connected
and showntogether on one picture. 


Bei dieser Serie geht es um den Konsum. Die Themen Konsum / Plastikabfälle und Umwelt prägen seit langem den Inhalt des täglichen Gesprächs. Mit dem Namen Konsumogramm verbinde ich die
alte Technik des Fotogramms mit unserem Kunststoffkonsum. Es werden verschiedene typische Konsumgegenstände gezeigt, die transparent sind und in unserem Take Away-Alltag viel in Gebrauch sind. Das Fotogramm als Medium habe ich genutzt, um das Thema ungewöhnlich und interessant darzustellen. Das Besondere an dieser Technik ist die Klarheit, mit welcher die Gegenstände reduziert abbildet sind. Der starke Helldunkel Kontrast wirkt bestechend und ästhetisch. Das PET als transparentes Material lässt sich mit dieser Arbeitsweise subtil und dramatisch inszenieren.
Man kann verschiedene Ebenen gleichzeitig damit darstellen. Ähnlich wie bei einer Müllhalde habe ich die Gegenstände übereinander gelegt. Alle Abzüge sind analog von Hand in der Dunkelkammer hergestellt. Jedes Bild ist ein Unikat. Bei meinen Nachforschungen entdeckte ich Abzüge meines Grossvaters, Walter Studer, Fotograf. Vor 50 Jahren hat er den Abfall in einer Müllhalde fotografiert. Eine seiner Fotografien integrierte ich das 7. Fotogramm. Damit sind die alte und die neue Zeit unserer Konsumgesellschaft verbunden und zusammen auf einem Bild gezeigt.
